Austrinus It is the astronomy site of Farid Char.
This space was inaugurated on 11/25/2000 and its name means “austral” or “from the south” in Latin.

This name serves to better identify the origin of its contents, created from the Southern Hemisphere: 23°39' S and 70°25' W (Antofagasta, Chile).

In astronomy, the name is present in the constellation Pisces Austrinus.

Demystification

The date 6/6/6

1st argument: What is time?

Time, defined as a physical magnitude that allows changes to be ordered sequentially (establishing a past, present and future), in segments of seconds, minutes, hours, etc., is a human invention. Time is a dimension determined by the movement of the stars, and humans use it to order our history, our actions and our entire lives. Note that I am not referring to time as it is studied in physics, understood as the 4th dimension that is added to space, with applications in quantum physics, relativity, etc.; Nor am I referring to the time scales used by ancient cultures. I simply refer to the common time that humans use today.

¿Qué es el tiempo? What is all this about? To get to the time we live in today (i.e., as I write this it is Sunday, June 4, 2006, at 8:50 p.m. and 37 s.), an innumerable number of "corrections" and "adjustments" have occurred, for which, of course, the human race is solely responsible. To do so, I will briefly outline some time periods that will be familiar (using our time scales, of course):

  • The birth of Jesus Christ marks the well-known historical difference between before Christ [BC] and after Christ [AD].
  • Some of the famous protohistoric cultures (Egyptians, Greeks) fully developed around 3,000 BC
  • Homo Sapiens (understood as the current human race) had its origin 450,000 to 400,000 years ago.
  • Planet Earth originated about 4.6 billion years ago.
  • Although still under debate, the Universe was "born" some 13.5 billion years ago.

As a first conclusion, the objective of this historical review is to imply that, depending on the perspective, we could use many references to begin measuring time. If today we are using the one governed by the birth of Jesus Christ, and not the birth of the Earth, which would have us in something like the year 4.6 billion, it has been purely for convenience and historical adjustments. In other words, if at a moment a day, month and year coincide so much that they end in 6, it is only a consequence and a fictitious moment created by human beings themselves.
***Although this argument could already resolve the whole matter, the second one is raised "assuming" for a moment that our current time scale (the one governed by the birth of Jesus Christ) is the true one, and that the date we believe ourselves to be on is correct.
