The amateur has various astronomical instruments at his disposal to complement his observations. However, at first we don't know where to start or what to consider when purchasing one. The instruments are very varied and each one will have different uses according to their own needs.

The subsections presented here illustrate different types of instruments, accessories and tools for the hobbyist. Of course, it is not necessary or essential to have all of these items. The important aspect is to have basic notions and knowledge of astronomy, become familiar with the night sky and progress gradually, in order to make the best decision about a potential investment in an instrument and obtain the maximum benefit.
